Promote interactions between K12 and university teachers and strengthen the network of teachers in Ohio
Increase participants in our association and build a network
Promote articulation by developing collaborative projects among teachers
Since there are many Japanese companies in the Midwest, try to find ways for educational institutions and companies to cooperate. The ultimate goal is to actively promote career-oriented advocacy such as career counseling and career networking. We also aim to build a system of support between industry and educational institutions.
Medium-and Short-Term Goals
Plan to invite Dr. Troyan for a half-day workshop on Core Practices for our annual meeting in November. We hope that the workshop will attract many teachers and that it will lead to strengthening of articulation.
Try to have opportunities where university teachers can learn about AP so that we can promote interactions between K12 and university teachers.
Plan to have a social gathering after annual meeting in November so that teachers can informally communicate with each other. During the social gathering, we try to discuss issues they are facing, their interests, and problems they need support for. By identifying common issues and interests, we hope to maintain interactions and eventually to initiate collaborative projects among teachers.
Find out alumni or interns who are currently employed by Japanese companies in Ohio and strengthen the network. Using the network, explore the possibility of founding an internship system.
